Although the dashboard fixed in place sufficiently with the 4 fixing bolts cast into the GRP moulding, the centre of the dashboard still seemed to flex with the bottom edge not fitting far enough back to avoid catching it when changing gear. An angle bracket was made up from flat aluminium bar, bent to suit, fixed down onto the centre tunnel with rivnuts and bolts. The centre console of the dashboard was then fixed to the bracket with rivnuts and button headed screws.

The stainless steel door sills were stuck in place with Sikaflex although the ends did need shaping to fit snugly against the rounded edges of the centre scuttle and rear tub. Whilst the sealant cured the trims were held in place with a couple of large adjustable clamps.
